Top MBA colleges in INDIA
MBA is a 2 year full time course and is spread over 3 years for part time degree.
There are certain institutes which offer special MBA programs to the executives of companies apart from the normal graduates .For this, a work experience of 3 to 5 years is needed.
The A1 institutes of the country are mainly the IIM’s ,that is Indian Institute Of Management which is lead by the one in Ahemdabad , followed by Lucknow , Bangalore and Calcutta.
Other good institutes are MDI(Gurgaon) ,FMS (Delhi) ,XLRI (Jamshedpur) ,XIM (Bhubaneshwar).
The basic criteria is to have scored above 50% in graduation.
The admission to majority of the institues is through CAT ,but for XLRI , FMS and a few more,who conduct their own entrance exam.
Another entrance exam for B grade B-schools is MAT.
The exam is conducted to test English reading and writing skills apart from the data interpretation part and mathematics.
To get through the IIM’s , a percentile of something around 99 is expected and even a .01 percentile can change a student’s fate .Just scoring the required cut off is not enough to get into the desired college .The candidate has to go through tough rounds of GD and PI and if he is able to impress the faculty only then he can get into any college.
